It means unlimited members per workspace. You can invite as many people as you need to a workspace. On Free, there is no charge per person. On a paid plan, each member in that workspace is a paid seat, but there is no headcount cap.

Workspaces are teams or projects on your account. The Free plan includes 1 workspace; Pro and Expert unlock unlimited workspaces. Each workspace has its own members, boards, and plan, and upgrading one workspace does not upgrade the others.

Billing is attached to a workspace, not your user account. New workspaces always start on Free. When a workspace needs Pro or Expert, the workspace owner upgrades that workspace through Stripe. Other workspaces you own can stay on Free.

A seat is any member of that workspace - owner, admin, member, or viewer - regardless of whether a person or an automation drives the account. Agents you connect through the REST API or MCP do not join as members, and board guests invited to a single board are not workspace members, so neither adds a seat.

It depends on how the agent connects, not on the word "agent". You pay per workspace member (an account in the workspace). An agent that connects through the REST API or MCP - using an existing member's API key - never joins as a member, so it adds no seat on any plan. Connect as many as you like; throughput is governed by your plan's API rate limit (1,000 req/hr Free, 10,000 Pro, 50,000 Expert), not a per-agent fee. The only time an agent costs a seat is if you add a separate account for it as a workspace member - then it is billed like any other member.

Your board keeps working. To add more boards, upgrade the workspace to Pro or Expert for unlimited boards.

Your boards and data stay in place. If that workspace is over the Free limit, existing boards remain accessible but you cannot create new ones until you are back within the Free limit or upgrade again. If a subscription is canceled or past due, Free limits apply until billing is restored.

All major credit cards through Stripe. Workspace owners manage billing from the in-app billing page or Stripe customer portal.

Account-wide beta previews, not workspace upgrades. Any user on Free or Pro can turn on beta in Settings. Timeline shows cross-board activity; Prioritize helps rank work. Workspace plan only affects boards, automations, and limits inside each workspace.

Custom card fields and outbound webhooks are on the Pro roadmap but not available yet. Auto-assign on new cards, unlimited boards, and higher limits are live today.
