Finance or department leads review Proposed cards and drag approved items forward. Rejected items get archived with a comment explaining why - nothing disappears without a record.
As expenses are incurred, move cards through In Progress to Invoiced when the bill arrives, and finally to Paid once payment clears. The board gives you a real-time snapshot of committed vs. spent budget.
Tag every card with its department - Engineering, Marketing, Operations. Filter by label to see one department's spending, or view the full board for a company-wide picture.
A spreadsheet shows numbers in rows. This board shows where each expense sits in the approval and payment lifecycle. You see at a glance which items are waiting for approval, which invoices are outstanding, and which payments have cleared - without formulas or pivot tables.
Yes. Use role-based permissions to give department leads member access (they can move and edit cards) while giving individual contributors viewer access. Only members and above can drag cards from Proposed to Approved.
Label each card by department and use Flux's label filter to view one department at a time. For cross-department visibility, the multi-board view lets leadership see Engineering, Marketing, and Operations budgets side by side.
