01

List habits you want to build

Add every habit you are considering to Want to Start. Be specific - "exercise" is vague, "30-minute run at 7 AM" is actionable. Label each habit as Daily, Weekly, or Morning to see your routine structure.

02

Pick one or two to start building

Move only one or two habits to Building at a time. Trying to build five habits at once is a recipe for dropping all of them. Use comments to log your streak and note what triggers success or failure.

03

Graduate to Consistent after 21 days

When a habit hits a 21-day streak, move it to Consistent. This column is your proof that the behavior is sticking. Keep logging to maintain accountability.

04

Celebrate Automated habits

When a habit feels effortless - you do it without thinking - move it to Automated. This frees up willpower to pull the next habit from Want to Start. The board visualizes your personal operating system.

03 questions
01

How does a kanban board help with habit tracking?

+

Most habit trackers show streaks but not stages. This board shows where each habit sits in your adoption journey - from intention through automation. You see at a glance which habits need attention and which are running on autopilot.

02

How do I track daily completion of a habit?

+

Use checklist items on each habit card for daily check-offs, or add a comment each day to log completion. Flux shows checklist progress directly on the card preview so you can see your streak without opening the card.

03

Can I share this board with an accountability partner?

+

Yes. Invite your accountability partner to the board with viewer access. They see your habit progress in real time and can add encouraging comments on your cards. The social pressure of a shared board keeps you honest.
