// How to use this template
04 steps
01

Fill Now with committed work only

The Now column is what your team is actively building this quarter. If it is not resourced and in progress, it does not belong in Now. Be honest about capacity.

02

Use Next for validated priorities

Next contains work that has been scoped, estimated, and approved but not yet started. These are your upcoming bets. Reorder them as priorities shift between planning cycles.

03

Keep Later aspirational but grounded

Later is for ideas worth exploring but not yet committed. Research cards, early-stage concepts, and strategic bets live here. Review monthly and promote or archive.

04

Move completed work to Done visibly

When a Now item ships, move it to Done. This creates a visible record of progress that stakeholders, investors, and the team can reference during reviews and planning.

// FAQ
03 questions
01

What is a Now-Next-Later roadmap?

+

A Now-Next-Later roadmap organizes work by time horizon instead of fixed dates. Now is actively in progress, Next is committed for upcoming cycles, Later is exploratory. It communicates priority without false precision on delivery dates.

02

How often should I update the product roadmap?

+

Review and reorder weekly. Major reshuffles happen quarterly during planning. The roadmap should reflect current reality, not last quarter strategy. If priorities changed, the board should change too.

03

Can I share the roadmap with stakeholders?

+

Yes. Use Flux card share links to give stakeholders read access to specific cards. They can see status and description without needing a full account. For broader visibility, export the board view as a screenshot during reviews.
